Khopra Ridge
Quiet alternative to Poon Hill with a ridge camp at 3,660m. Excellent Annapurna South views.
Overview
The Khopra Ridge trek (Khopra Danda) is a quieter, community-run alternative in the Annapurna foothills, climbing to a dramatic ridge at around 3,660 m with some of the closest views of Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and the Annapurna South face anywhere in the region. An optional side trip reaches the sacred high-altitude Khayer Lake (4,660 m).
Built around community lodges to spread tourism income, it offers the scenery of the busier Annapurna trails with a fraction of the foot traffic, and pairs well with Poon Hill.
